I read a new book written by architect Fumihiko Maki and professor Hiroshi Matsukuma. In this book they are talking about Venustas, one of the most important value of architecture which ancient Roman architect Vitruvius wrote in his book. Usually this word is translated as beauty, but Maki shows another meaning, Venustas as Joy.
